Season Seven’s “Space Race” continued Stargate SG-1‘s relatively strong performance in U.S. syndication for the week of January 10. The episode’s first syndication run earned a 2.2 average household rating, keeping the show firmly entrenched as the highest-rated first-run dramatic hour.
The top three syndicated series (not counting off-network shows) for the week were:
- Stargate SG-1 – 2.2 (“Space Race”)
Andromeda – 1.5
She Spies – 1.4
More than 2.4 million households tuned in to SG-1 in syndication during the week, up 10 percent from the previous week’s episode.
With ratings for Stargate‘s competition plummeting and few new additions to the first-run dramatic hour category on the horizon, the syndication landscape is becoming increasingly dominated by reruns of off-network shows such as The Twilight Zone, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The X-Files.
