The 36-year-old, Washington state-born actor played Commander Charles “Trip” Tucker on UPN’s Star Trek: Enterprise, which aired its final voyage in May. In addition to his four years as a Starfleet engineer, Trinneer has appeared in such series as ER, Sliders, and Touched By An Angel.
In “Michael,” Trinneer plays Michael Kenmore, a young Lieutenant who wakes up in the Atlantis infirmary with no memory of his past — only to later learn the disturbing truth of his true nature.
Trinneer is the third Enterprise cast member to make an appearance on Stargate. Jolene Blalock (“T’Pol”) played the Jaffa priestess Ishta in SG-1‘s “Birthright” and “Sacrifices.” John Billingsley (“Phlox”) played Dr. Simon Coombs in “The Other Guys.”
“Michael” begins filming in Vancouver, B.C. on August 16, and will be directed by Peter DeLuise. The episode will air in early 2006 as part of the second half of Stargate Atlantis‘s second season.
