Episodes of Stargate: Horizon are written in script format and released weekly on the Web site. For fans who are not yet familiar with Horizon, the new season might be just the right time to catch up on it. With SCI FI channel in the U.S. delaying the second halves of the current season of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis until March, Horizon will offer fans an alternate way to get their weekly dose of Stargate.
Picking up two months after last season’s finale, “Revolution,” the space station Horizon finds itself surrounded by the ongoing Vorian civil war. Following the words of the mysterious De’sya Kamin, Commander Callen hopes that finding the fabled Book of Nosah’trah will be what will bring about the end of the war.
However, the Horizon team soon finds themselves facing another situation, when Major David Connor — who had returned to Earth, and is now reunited with his wife and daughter — finds himself and his family kidnapped by a former I.S.G.C. officer, Colonel Nathan Saunders. Saunders, who is working with a Trust-like organization, claims that he needs David’s help, and David realizes quickly that Saunders is willing to do what it takes to achieve his goals.
“Rogues” was written by executive producer Alex Rubit, and the episode is the first in a 4-episode opening arc that kicks off this season. Guest characters include Julia Connor, Caitlin Connor, Lieutenant Colonel Hikaru Sato, Lieutenant Hiron Bay’lar, Major Erin Garrison, and Colonel Nathan Saunders.
