SCI FI Friday kicks off at a special early time when the new special “Behind the Mythology of Stargate SG-1“ airs at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. Central).
SG-1 begins its final ten episodes at 8 p.m., with “The Quest, Part 2.” When we left our heroes in the September mid-season finale, SG-1 had reluctantly joined forces with Baal and Adria to find the Sangraal, a relic believed to be the key to Merlin’s anti-Ori weapon. In part two they find much, much more than that — after battling a real-life dragon! — and must complete the weapon before Adria catches up to them.
The third season of Stargate Atlantis continues with “The Return, Part 2.” at 9 p.m. Richard Dean Anderson (“Jack O’Neill”) and Robert Picardo (“Richard Woolsey”) guest star in the episode, which picks up where the mid-season finale left off: the Replicators have taken control of Atlantis, and John Sheppard and his team have acted against orders in stealing a Puddle Jumper to return to the Pegasus Galaxy and win back their home.
Meanwhile, General O’Neill and Mr. Woolsey are hiding out in the city itself, trying to stay one step ahead of the Replicators.
Following tonight’s episodes is the series premiere of SCI FI’s new original series Painkiller Jane, starring Kristanna Loken (“Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines”).
Future episodes of Stargate will feature return appearances from Anderson (SG-1‘s “The Shroud”), Richard Kind (Atlantis‘s “Irresponsible”), Fred Willard (SG-1‘s “Family Ties”), and Connor Trinneer (Atlantis‘s “Vengeance”).
