Hewlett plays Dr. Rodney McKay on Atlantis, and wrote, directed, and starred in the film.
Co-starring in the film are Hewlett’s real-life sister Kate Hewlett (“Jeannie Miller” on Stargate Atlantis) and actor Paul McGillion (“Carson Beckett”). Rachel Luttrell (“Teyla Emmagan”) and Christopher Judge (“Teal’c”) also make appearances.
“A Dog’s Breakfast” tells the story of a man — and his dog — who decides to bump off his sister’s new fianc‚ after they announce their engagement:

The film comes with a suggested price of $22.98. As of this writing, it is available at Amazon for $19.99.
