U.K. broadcaster Sky One has picked up the rights to air Stargate Universe, Variety reports. The network will begin the show in the fall, meaning new episodes of the third Stargate series will air in the United States and the United Kingdom very close together.
Sky One aired new, first-run episodes of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, as well.
The new deal struck with MGM gives Sky One the non-exclusive rights to Video On Demand and “download-to-own” for the entire Stargate catalog, Variety said.
Universe is being created by Atlantis creators Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper, and is now filming in Vancouver, British Columbia. It stars Scottish actor Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting, The Full Monty) as Dr. Nicholas Rush.

Yay!
Atleast we get it in England, thou i was hoping for it to be on a terrestial channel!
Woo-hoo!!! Fantastic news!!! Way to go Sky1!!! Man, I am incredibly excited about seeing SG: U!!! Bring it on!!!
What about in other countries? In Mexico SG-1 and Atlantis have aired on MGM (SG-1 Seasons 1-5, maybe six, I forget), Fox (SG-1 seasons 6/7-8 and Atlantis seasons 1-3), FX (SG-1 seasons 9-10 and Atlantis 4-5), and Sci Fi Latin America (so far only reruns of SG-1 seasons 1-6).
Any idea on where Universe will air here?
Aye good to hear. I'm a really impatient person and always hated the delay between the airing of Stargate in the US and 'Britain' in the past. Might actually watch it on the tele for once instead of online.
