hmmm….i suspect “faith” aliens…
you do? How so?
I am getting depressed that the show is ending, with no ending…left on a precipis
This episode will ether be very good or very bad. Maybe even both in the same time. But not just moderately good.
it is all syfy falt people are not watching sgu. if they would have left in on it’s rightfull night people would watch it. everyone knows sgu belongs on friday nights not monday night. syfy is not doing sec 3 all cause they are too dum to see that sgu belongs of it’s rightfull night that it earned.
Looks boring, the repeating of the communication stones is really getting old!
Ginn is back gonna be crazy!
Looks like they are bringing one of the few characters I like back to the show. Alliance episode was poor for me, still so little story coming, problem is this show has such huge potential and they are not using it… such a shame really because SGU had a chance to be a great one.
With Ginn back, but in Chloe’s body, how will Eli handle this one? That part alone will make this episode worth watching. Finally, a story that includes the stones that doesn’t sound like a snooze-fest. I think they should have focused more on Eli and less on the secondary characters. Character development is important, but it shouldn’t be the whole show.
And once again, a “ghost in the machine” from Carl Binder. Seriously, can he write about anything else? Hes clinically obsessed.
Should be good.
I’m glad Ginn is back, I was so disappointed with how they handled that. Its a typical problem with Stargate writers. They get us excited about a plot that they’re developing, then they hit us with it and just like that it’s over. Remember, they were making a big deal about the love interest for Eli? That lasted what, two episodes? How about the LA on the ship…that maybe went a little further than the Maquis on Voyager did, but still felt like they held back on us on that plot. They did this in Atlantis too. Remember that whole… Read more »
I’ve been watching Stargate since the original movie came out in the theaters and I have to say that this episode was absolutely terrific writing!! An instant classic Stargate episode for sure and what a sweet ending! The immense technical side of this story is exactly what drew in the “original” SG fans from SG-1 season 1, so, this was classic Stargate writing to the max!! The theoretical idea behind the importance for the stones (urim and thummim) is now being exposed where our bodies are simply a receiver for a conscience … or more than one. Keep your eyes… Read more »
SGU was amazing tonight, I give it 10 stars!!! I am a die hard stargate fan, and let me say that this episode had one of the best medical scenarios ever. And next week’s episode looks just as awesome. SGU trully deserves a 3rd season!
No worries people, Robert Picardo is coming next week and he brings with him technology from the 29th century to make Dr. Perry and Ginn’s holograms real! Rejoice!
This episode was, to put it simply, AMAZING!! good old stargate formula, suspense well paced, tons of humour, but not in a corny way, and Im so pleased Amanda Perry is back, she’s the best “b-character” out of any of the series, a tremendous actress! It’s nothing like ‘Ghost In A Machine’ sure there may be a few similarities, but this stands head and shoulders above that episode, which is pretty hard, GIAM is one of my fave episodes ever. TJ really shone tonight, as did all the characters, apart from Matt, I just cant seem to connect with him… Read more »
Another great episode. SyFy sucks!
I almost hate to admit it, but it was a good episode. There was classic Stargate mixed into it and it actually worked. And there were actually elements of humor. I really hadn’t expected that. If not for the situation the show already was in, I’d think the title appropriate for giving hope to the show’s future. It’s just unfortunate that they waited this long to do so. I wouldn’t give it quite the same ranking as some, but I’d say it’s a solid 7. Some parts of it just seemed unnecessary like some of the scenes where Chloe jumps… Read more »
SO MUCH was happening in the this episode at every moment, but not once did the story feel convoluted or confusing. Props to the writing. Really great performances all around especially the scenes between Jamil Walker and Patrick Gilmore. The science used in this series to describe the craziness going on is always done so perfectly and this episode is a prime example. This show has never been laugh at loud funny, the humor has always been subtle which I’ve enjoyed, but this episode had some legit funny moments. The only negative thing I can say about this episode is… Read more »
Though this episode was boring at times, the ending rules. Amanda and Ginn are both “around”.
And of course the Numa Numa scene ruled too.
Let me explain my first comment a little better, some scenes were just “Her energy is fading””Fading her energy is””Is her energy still fading””Yes, her energy is still fading””Repeat”
Otherwise this episode is great, it’s what season 1 should have been.
[…] This episode brought several questions bubbling up in the cauldron of my mind: […]
WOW! What a great episode. It was nice to get an answer to the Franklin question as well. Some amazing performances, it’s such a great show.
I’ll be so sad when it’s all over. My fingers are still crossed and I’ll be savouring the rest of this season.
At the beginning of this ep I was like;oh no man,the stones and the bodysnatchers episode again. But very soon it became clear just how AWESOME this episode will be.Classic Stargate!! Very appropriately adapted for this, more realistic version of the franchise, loved the premise, the execution, both characters that came back..and the humor, finally! When they crack up before the surgery,it seemed so real,as if it was a blooper left in the ep.And the music thing in the “OR”..man I can’t remember that I ever laughed out loud watching SGU..till tis ep. And it really seems that upcoming episodes will be great as well!!Makes me that… Read more »
This episode was mind blowingly awesome! Didn’t see that coming! What a great way to keep two great and beautiful characters around. The possiblities with what those can do inside the ship are endless! Unless they are destroyed somehow before the end of this season which I doubt it makes me that much more sad and frustrated that this series was canceled. I really think this show could reach out too a different bigger group of audience that normally wouldn’t watch scifi but since it debuted on syfy they had nothing to do with it. Im just saying had this… Read more »
