Stargate Universe actress Alaina Huffman has traded in her S.G.C. combat boots for a new hosting gig.
The actress, who plays Lt. Tamara Johansen, is now hosting the third season of the “After Show” for MTV reality series 16 and Pregnant. The show chronicles the challenging lives of young mothers-to-be.
If you live in the U.S., you can check out Alaina on the first installment of the new season at MTV.com.
Elsewhere on MTV.com, Huffman is also co-creator and co-writer (with husband John Huffman IV, and Tony Lee) of Agent Mom, a new online comic book series. She recently talked about the series launch in an interview with MTV, and the possibility of one day expanding the project to film:
“I’m excited about becoming a trans-media storyteller,” Huffman said. “The idea that we can tell the Agent Mom story online with MTV Comics and build a fan base that we can take over to Paramount to discuss turning that story it into a movie is just awesome. Agent Mom is a perfect opportunity for me to do what I love: develop characters, act and take incredible stories to my fans.
“So yes, I can absolutely see myself cast as Agent Mom. But quite honestly, I can see others cast as Agent Mom as well. I’d probably have my company (BullyVision) hold a casting and I’d read for the role just like everyone else.”
Check out the first issue of Agent Mom at MTV.com, and watch for new installments each Monday! (Issue #1, part 4 is available now.)
