The Stand. Pursued across the galaxy by drone ships programmed to hunt and destroy technology, Destiny and her crew are out of options. Blocked at every turn, Colonel Young and his people must stop running … and stand up and fight.
After two seasons, 40 episodes, and an ambitious storyline, Stargate Universe comes to its end tonight. It wasn’t the end that the writers intended — SGU will end on a bittersweet cliffhanger, from all reports. There will be no third season, no wrap-up movie or mini-series, no webisodes or other last-minute reprieve. But it’s been one hell of a ride.
“Gauntlet” airs tonight at 9 p.m. (8 Central) on Syfy Channel! Don’t miss this important final installment not just of this series, but of modern-day Stargate as we know it. We believe with great certainty that the franchise will be back down the road. But for now, this is the final hour for Stargate fans to enjoy.
After you’ve watched the last episode, you have three things still to do!
Heading into the summer months and an extended period of time with no new episodes, we’re getting ready to launch several new features to help pass the time till Stargate‘s return!
Without further ado, here is your preview of the Stargate Universe series finale:
From TV Guide:

From SPACE:

I dont know if i am more excited or depressed about this episode. Cant wait to see it but it is the end...
I hate cliffhangers to begin with. Knowing that this one may never be resolved just makes it so much worse.
What a great show! Now im waiting for comics...
F*** SyFy and it's wrestiling.
$%^&@ So mad that this is it...
Everytime I see a new post by Darren I get a little worked up hoping that something amazing has happened and it's been revived.. wishful thinking far too much!
I've decided not to watch it, I'm treating Epilogue as my finale.. I think SGU deserves that ending IMO.. If I watched it i'd be too depressed and angry!
What are you guys doing? watching or holding off?
For me, Stargate Universe should have been a show about taelons and Jaridians, Daleks, and Kree, Galactus, and Doomsday, the yellow Lantern corps with all their murderous intent, the alien from the western themed outer limit episode where the alien bestowed god like powers onto a bunch of killers to verify it's race was safe from man because man would destroy itself. The Pandorica and End of Time mixed with a little bit of V-ger, and Q Continuum war, sprinkled with Pandorum and Event Horizon. Garnished with the Saga of the Seven Suns, The Dune trilogy and graciously baptized in the forever Ocean of Solaris. The crew should have met the WhyFore and the Neverwere and the would be kings, the celestial conflagration, off shoots of the altera, the Ori or the Goa'uld. Ascended Ameobas and living nebulae. But instead, we got what we did, and though they were good stories (Season 2), they could have been brilliant. SALUTE my conflicted friend, perhaps, in time, another from your house of Usher, will dare to be bold, and infinitely more inspiring. Though if you wanna blame some one, Blame SuckFu, it was their silly attempt to pit an off season series, against a prime time line up. They intentionally had the widest gap ever between two seasons, almost intentionally sabotaging the show. It was them who decided to wait, until, the audience, who was semi hot, had become luke warm, after being made to wait months and months. Forget you.
I'm definitely watching. There is no way I couldn't watch. Although I.ll be sad and no doubt frustrated when the credits roll, I still have to see the last episode. I would love it if Brad Wright releases something that finishes the story or failing that at least tell us where they were planning to go with it. Sigh...
If Brad released something to finalise it then i'd watch Gauntlet for sure :)
I just hope so much that destiny goes way, way far in the end of the universe, with the superpower it got in the blue giant!
It's sad to see SGU go and I think MGM and SyFy are beginning to see the err of their ways. Ratings are up, the show is much better than when it began, and people are coming around to SGU.
They've doomed Warehouse 13 and Sanctuary to Monday nights and left the marginally ok Colorado Kid based show on Friday. No more SyFy for me.
