The third (and sure to be epic) season of Dark Matter is here!
The show makes its summer bow on Syfy Channel tonight at 8/7c with a special 2-hour premiere, picking up after the (literally) explosive events of last summer’s finale. As the Raza crew fights to survive help comes from an unexpected place, and a dangerous new enemy emerges.
The series comes from former Stargate writers and producers Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie.
In addition to a couple of main cast members who appeared on the Stargate series back in the day (Roger Cross as S.G.C. Captain Conner and Jodelle Ferland as SG-1‘s young Adria and SGA‘s Harmony), other familiar faces frequently pop up on the Canadian space adventure series. Torri Higginson (“Elizabeth Weir”) plays Commander Truffault of the Mikkei Combine in a recurring role. And David Hewlett (“Rodney McKay”) plays the Raza crew’s former “manager” in their criminal enterprises, Talbor Calchek.
Melissa O’Neil, Anthony Lemke, Alex Mallari Jr., and Zoie Palmer also star.
Summer companion series Killjoys joins Syfy’s Friday night schedule with its third season starting June 30 (8/7c). The two shows’ premieres are offset slightly because of Killjoy‘s shorter, 10-episode season. Dark Matter runs for 13 episodes.

Oh crud, I almost forgot that was back this week. Thanks for the reminder!
