American Mythology continues its steady stream of Stargate comics, this time with the third issue of the new Stargate Atlantis & Universe anthology series. The “Anthology Ongoing” line was first announced last fall.
Each issue includes a short story from each of the two shows, written by J.C. Vaughn and Mark L. Haynes, with art by Eliseu Zeu Gouveia and Clint Hilsinki.
Issue #3 will “celebrate the return of Chuck and Walter … expanding their adventure from the Stargate Atlantis Hearts & Minds arc.”
The Stargate Universe portion of Issue #3 will deliver “the final part of Eli’s Game [and] a look at life on Destiny and the bonds between this dysfunctional, space-faring family.”
The 22-page issue is now available at Amazon and comiXology for Kindle devices, and at local comic book shops. Three different covers are available for the print edition:

Vaughn and Haynes have become Stargate veterans in the past few years — writing the six-part Stargate Universe “Back to Destiny” series. That storyline wrapped up with its final issue in September. The full SGU story is now available in a single volume.
Vaughn and Haynes have also penned no less than four Stargate Atlantis series — “Hearts & Minds,” “Gateways,” “Singularity,” and “Back to Pegasus.” Two trade paperbacks collect those stories, with six issues apiece.
Issue #1 of the SGA / SGU Anthology (Ongoing) series was released in December. Issue #2 hit the shelves earlier this month.
Need help keeping track of what you need to complete your collection? Every issue of the Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe comics is indexed in GateWorld’s Comics section.
To date American Mythology has not announced further issues of its Stargate comic lines. Keep it locked on GateWorld for additional news as we hear it!
With Haynes and Vaughn stepping down as writers, AM should shed some light on what’s coming… I like the idea of Universe continuing via comics.
