GateWorld went online in 1999 with news, episode analysis, and more. Then we introduced GateWorld Forum. Later we launched original cast and crew interviews, the Stargate Image Gallery, and the Stargate Omnipedia.

In 2009 we launched the GateWorld Podcast.

In 2018 it was GateWorld’s YouTube channel.

This week we’re excited to announce the next evolution of Stargate online fandom: Dial the Gate! It’s a brand new live show, it’s still kind of a secret, and you can be a part of it every week.

DAVID READ RETURNS

“Dial the Gate” is a weekly series that will stream live on YouTube. The show is created and hosted by David Read.

David joined GateWorld as a contributor in 2004, and became the site’s Co-Editor. He also co-hosted the GateWorld Podcast from 2009 to 2015. He has a storied career with fandom and the Stargate franchise, also working during those years for the Official Stargate Magazine, the Stargate Worlds MMO-RPG video game, and Propworx’s auctions of Stargate’s original set pieces, costumes, and props.

He went on to work with MGM’s official Stargate social media channels. When the studio’s “Stargate Command” digital platform went live in 2017, David co-hosted the popular “Dialing Home” interview series with Stargate SG-1‘s Christopher Judge (“Teal’c”).

Today, he returns home to GateWorld.

“For the past few years I’ve been privileged to work on a number of different Stargate projects, from the auctions at Propworx to MGM’s official Stargate Command Web site (May it Rest In Peace) to Wyvern Gaming’s upcoming roleplaying game,” Read said. “Now it’s time to come back to GateWorld with something new. Well, old … and new.”

Future livestreams will be scheduled (mostly) on Saturdays, with exact times to be announced each week. We’ll be revealing the upcoming schedule along with more details for the show this Saturday.
