I’ve got a mixed feeling. Now you can’t go wrong lol.

Anything could potentially work and anything could potentially not be as good.

Not like SGU was much worth watching. That was a real stinker with nearly all its potential lost.

Of course, I haven’t liked a single thing Amazon has created. Not one lol. Always a first eventually.

I have never understood why people seem to think that’s such a clever remark. It seems to me a very weak insult based on a very trivial aspiration.

I tried to watch the new Twighlight Zone, but it was extremely woke and full of B.S., and never went back, they totally ruined it! I was outraged they would put blm garbage in there in the very first one I saw!

Twilight Zone has been woke since the 1950s.

Only hate-fueled bigots who never understood the franchises they enjoy have a problem with things being “woke.”

Amazon needs to not muck this up. The worst thing they can do is make a series or movie that the Stargate fans don’t recognize. It needs to be fresh but familiar. And for Pete sake good writers are a must. Brad Wright and John Glassner are going to be a hard act to follow if not involved.

I for one miss Stargate. I was disappointed with the cancellation of Atlantis. But at least they were able to finish the series without leaving anything loose ends on the storyline. But it kills me that SGU was dropped faster than a token Fox sitcom! I guess being TV’s longest running sifi series doesn’t mean that much to the network executives at SYFY though. But thanks to Roku I can at least get my fix with their 24 hour a day everything Stargate channel!!

As much as I love star gate, it isn’t the longest running sci-fi show. BBC’s Doctor Who would be the longest running sci-fi show. Having started in the 60’s, running through to the 90’s, then making a successful return in the early 2000’s and still going strong.

Doctor Who is less sci-fi than Star Wars, which is to say it isn’t true sci-fi at all. It really bugs me how much stuff people are willing to call “sci-fi.” Basically if it has anything in it at all that doesn’t currently exist technologically, people call it sci-fi. Stargate is true sci-fi in view because it both contains non-current technology and at the same time makes the nitty gritty of that technology central to the story. Star Trek does that too, but it totally ruins it with absolutely garbage technobabble and a poorly thought-out setting (they often treat space… Read more »

I hope they follow the star trek treatment…. star trek now has several new tv series and animated series too. The 3rd season of Picard is soo awesome.

RoboCop is best left alone. Stargate is a damn fine TV show & if they want to follow it up, just don’t make a mess of it.

The plot twist: in the RoboCop it turns out that his body was created using Asgard technology abd stargates exist there. Robocop is set in the Stargate world.

Sadly, that’s about all I expect from Amazon but time will tell. If they don’t just give up first.

They should make it a continuation but just do new cast as daughters or sons of the original cast with a cameo from Carter to intro say her daughter who followed in moms footsteps , same for most of the rest. The show also has infinite possibilities for new worlds, new episodes etc. just like Star Trek.
