German mini-block manufacturer BlueBrixx wants to give Stargate fans the toys they deserve, and here’s the first hint at what might be coming.
The company announced in March that it is producing an officially licensed range of Stargate brick sets (compatible with LEGO). So far we don’t have any specifics about just what building sets the company is working on for the first wave. A cargo ship? The Odyssey? Or how about a Stargate with D.H.D.?
Now BlueBrixx founder and managing director Klaus Kiunke has revealed designs for a Samantha Carter mini-figure, in a new video posted to the BlueBrixx YouTube channel. Check out the segment (auf Deutsch) here:
As the team at German fan site Stargate-Project.de reported, in the video Kiunke reveals working designs for a Samantha Carter mini-figure. He shows the camera a variety of facial expressions apparently under consideration, as well as a design for the character in SG-1’s familiar green fatigues. Check out the SG-1 patch on the shoulder piece, and even a tiny zat gun drawn onto a leg holster!
Stargate-Project reports that BlueBrixx plans to release a significant number of sets (at least 10), including a buildable Stargate model — with the first sets expected to come to market in early 2024.
BlueBrixx previously released the unlicensed “E.S.S. Levitarus,” a very familiar looking space ship (see below) that might portend the future of the licensed Stargate toys. That’s a large model built from more than 3,700 pieces.
The company has plenty of experience with sci-fi franchises. Its ongoing Star Trek line includes dozens of ships at various sizes, along with phasers, “Brick Buddies” character statues, and more.
BlueBrixx was founded in 2017 with the goal of providing specialty construction brick sets to adult collectors. Its original lines include things like automobiles, trains, aerospace, military vehicles, buildings, and more. It distributes via its own 13 branded stores in Germany, and internationally through online sales.
