A brand new, museum-quality replica of an iconic Stargate prop is headed our way this spring. Collectors can look for a screen-accurate replica of the Eye of Ra amulet — worn in the 1994 feature film by Catherine Langford (Viveca Lindfors), and given to Daniel Jackson (James Spader).
Pre-orders are now open at Hollywood Collectibles. The officially licensed item sells for $99.95 (U.S.).
“This beautifully crafted, Museum Quality Replica is made from heavyweight cast metal with highly detailed movie accurate inscriptions on both sides,” the company says. The amulet comes with a 28-inch-long chain, accurate to the prop as it appeared on screen.
The familiar amulet made its first appearance in the opening moments of the original Stargate feature film, when a young Catherine Langford found it at the Giza dig led by her archaeologist father. Catherine then passed it on to Daniel Jackson, who took it to Abydos — leading to the team being mistaken as emissaries of Ra.
The jewelry then returned for Stargate SG-1, making appearances in episodes from “The Torment of Tantalus” and “Full Circle” to “Moebius.”
Hollywood Collectibles says they are making 750 units, which are expected to ship this spring. Diamond Previews lists it as available in shops from April 24, 2024.
The amulet is the third item in the new Stargate line from Orlando-based Hollywood Collectibles, following the forthcoming Stargate mirror and a 1:4-scale Anubis statue.
