Two of Stargate SG-1‘s leading ladies are headed to Shore Leave, the science fiction and pop culture convention that now calls Pennsylvania its home. Amanda Tapping and Teryl Rothery have both joined the guest list for Shore Leave 44, to be held from July 26 to 28, 2024, in Lancaster.
The weekend will offer fans panels and workshops, a gaming room, autographs and photos with the guests, and more.
Tapping played Colonel Samantha Carter on all three Stargate television series, and today is a much sought director in Canadian television. Rothery played Dr. Janet Fraiser on Stargate SG-1, and has a list of credits that is rapidly approaching 200 film and television series — from Caprica and Travelers to recurring roles on Arrow, The Good Doctor, and Virgin River.
The actresses quickly became thick as thieves on set, working together for seven seasons.
This year’s Shore Leave will be held at the Wyndham Resort & Convention Center in Lancaster, Penn., following the closure of the convention’s long-term venue at Baltimore’s Hunt Valley Inn last fall.
Tapping is slated to be there Saturday and Sunday only.
Other guests this year include Todd Stashwick and Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut (Star Trek: Picard), Greg Grunberg (Heroes), D.B. Woodside (Lucifer), Robin Curtis (Star Trek III and IV), and more.
