Series Five of Diamond Select Toys’ SG-1 action figures have been announced, and include some surprising new faces!
Expect this set to include Air Force Jack O’Neill, Black Ops Samantha Carter (joining her fellow Black Ops companions already released), and the first additions of Baal (from “The Quest”), a Horus Guard and General George Hammond!
Don S. Davis, who passed away in late June of 2008, will be immortalized for the first time in toy form with this set.
“As with past releases, each figure in this assortment will be accompanied by pieces of a key Stargate accessory – this time in the form of Stargate Command’s armored and weaponized reconnaisance drone, the U.A.V.,” DST announced in a press release. “As a special bonus, a limited case topper figure will also be available from your local comic store in the form of Black Ops Cameron Mitchell.”
Four Jack O’Neill and three Samantha Carter dolls have been introduced in the previous DST releases dedicated to SG-1. The company, which utilizes a head scan process, tends to favor producing figures based on the actors it has on file. Thus the Baal, Hammond and Horus Guard action figures are welcome additions to this family of toys.
Series Five will be on display during the New York Toy Fair on Sunday, February 15. As yet there is no word on when this set will be released. Stargate Atlantis Series Three, which was due to be released in Fall 2008, is still pending.

Yay! A Baal Doll!
Awesome. i love the horus guard!
Baal!!! Very cool… :D
It looks like burt reynolds
Hate to say it, but General Hammond isn’t quite as, er, round as he should be. Plus, according to the picture, Hammond & O’Neil are near to the same height, when in real life, they aren’t. Or, should I say ‘weren’t.’ :-(
(RIP, Don!!!)
General Hammond needs to be more round i say that in the kindest way make Hammond more life like Baal hair needs to be darker
