Now at GateWorld: SGU Season Two!

Now that a decent amount of information has been released about the sophomore season of Stargate Universe (courtesy of writer-producer Joseph Mallozzi’s always entertaining blog), this week GateWorld has officially launched our guide to SGU Season Two.

This comes with the first four (working) episode titles for the 2010-2011 season:

“Intervention” is the season premiere, which is written by Paul Mullie and will be directed by Andy Mikita when production restarts in March.  The episode will, of course, pick up where the 2-part Season One finale, “Incursion,” leaves off.

“Aftermath” is written by series co-creator Robert C. Cooper, while Mallozzi himself is writing the third episode of the season, currently titled “Awakenings.”

Mallozzi and Mullie have been promoted from consulting producers to executive producers for Season Two.  Execs Brad Wright, Robert Cooper, and Carl Binder are also returning.

Binder’s first episode of the season is currently in the fourth position, titled “Pathogen.” It will shoot first when the cast and crew return in early March.

Throughout the year we use the episode guide to track every cast and crew quote, spoiler, photo, and bit of info we can find on the next 20 episodes.  You’ll always find the very latest there, even when it doesn’t make it onto GateWorld’s front page.  And after a new episode is broadcast, of course, we’ll update the guide with a complete summary, transcript, screencaps, related Omnipedia links, a blow-by-blow analysis, and more.

Season Two is expected to premiere in the U.S. in October.  Meanwhile, Stargate fans have 10 more episodes of Season One to enjoy!  The season resumes April 2 on Syfy in the U.S., and probably around the same time in the U.K. and Canada.

  • Awakenings? Appropriate since I'm on record as having fallen asleep in the first 5 episodes (soon available on DVD). LOL

  • Don't worry Mentat; I went on record claiming that season 1 episode titles were one word titles, and that season 2 episode titles would be 2-word titles etc, much the same as happened in LaFemme Nikita. Alas it appears now all titles regardless of how many seasons SGU make will be single-word titles.

    Believe it or not, I welcome the dvds as I have a hearing problem and relish to read the subtitles of each episode so I can at least "hear" what happened in SGU.

  • Ep 11 will air in Australia on April 9th, at 8:30pm on Syfy (Old name - Sci-Fi Channel) -> Australia...

    Yes it looks like March will see the Sci-Fi name gone from Australia and Syfy put in its place...

  • And here I thought this borefest wouldn't make it to Season 2. And now there's Caprica as well. What happened to the good shows on SciFi? Ah, I forgot, it's no longer SciFi, it's "SyFy." It's hip, it's cool, and it's throw-away trashpra.

  • @AgamemnonV1

    Well that's subjective. In my opnion Caprica and SGU are two very good sci fi shows.

    @cupermacleod

    Flash Gordon :P

  • I admit that SGU is different in style than SG1 and Atlantis, but it is certainly not boring or a let down.
