Jason Momoa’s former Stargate Atlantis co-star Joe Flanigan (“John Sheppard”) will appear in the upcoming second season of See, Momoa’s fantasy drama on Apple TV+.
Details on Flanigan’s role are unknown. The actor broke the news in a video message on his Cameo page, where he told fans he is flying to Toronto to resume filming on See — after quarantining in a hotel room for the next two weeks.
See was among the productions that Apple TV+ shut down in March, with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in North America. Filming resumes in Toronto on October 14 and is expected to continue through March of next year, according to Deadline.
See is set 600 years into a post-apocalyptic future where a virus has left the human race without the ability of sight — until a pair of twins is born with the ability to see. Momoa stars as Baba Voss, the children’s father, who must protect his family and the Alkenny tribe. The show also stars Alfre Woodard, Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, and Nesta Cooper.
Also joining See next season is Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), who co-stars with Momoa in Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming Dune remake.
The first season premiered with the launch of Apple’s streaming platform last November, and is available to watch now. The fantasy series was renewed before launch, and Season Two is expected to arrive in 2021.
