Four Stargate Stars Are Headed To Shore Leave

Four of Stargate’s favorites are coming to Baltimore! Organizers of the fan-run Shore Leave convention have announced the initial line-up of guests for this summer’s event, so far with ten guests spanning TV favorites like Stargate, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, and The Orville.

Stargate cast members joining the 2023 event include Ben Browder (“Cameron Mitchell”), Claudia Black (“Vala Mal Doran”), Alaina Huffman (“Tamara Johansen”), and Robert Picardo (“Richard Woolsey”).

This year’s event takes place July 7 to 9 at the Hunt Valley Inn-Delta in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Shore Leave organizers expect around 1,500 people to attend the 43rd annual genre celebration.

The guest list also includes several actors who made appearances on Stargate before going on to hit it big on other shows. That includes Battlestar Galactica‘s Grace Park (who played Lt. Satterfield in “Proving Ground”) and Aaron Douglas (who played Bra’tac’s ill-fated apprentice Moac in “Maternal Instinct,” as well as one of Anubis’s loyal Jaffa in “Redemption”).

Rounding out the list of guests announced so far: The Orville‘s Penny Johnson Jerald (“Dr. Claire Finn”) and Peter Macon (“Bortus”), Star Trek: Voyager‘s Robert Duncan McNeill (“Tom Paris”), and Star Trek: Prodigy‘s Bonnie Gordon (the voice of the Protostar‘s computer). Shore Leave says that additional guests will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Fans at the convention will have a chance to take part in autograph and photo sessions, as well as live Q&A panels. Shore Leave will also feature a Saturday night dance party, masquerade costume contest, an art show and auction, memorabilia room, fan-led panels, workshops with professional authors, fan film screenings, children’s programming, and more.

Head over to Shore-Leave.com for more news on the event. Early registration runs until June 15, 2023, with tickets available either for the full weekend or single days.
