Prometheus: First Look At Stargate’s Next Ship Model

UPDATE: Master Replicas has advised us that the Prometheus will go on sale November 10 and ship in mid-December, as originally planned, with a total of 2,000 units available. The previous report of a February delay was in error.

Your Stargate fleet is getting a brand new ship, courtesy of Master Replicas. This week the company is revealing the Prometheus model, with a first-look exclusively here at GateWorld. Check it out below.

As with previous ships in the line we expect the Prometheus model will be made of ABS plastic and die-cast metal. It will measure 8 inches (20.3 cm) long and 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) wide, and come with an included display stand. That’s just shy of the Daedalus model, at 8.8 inches.

The ship made its debut in the sixth season episode “Prometheus,” only later being formally christened with that name. The model bears the ship’s distinctive boxy look from the television series, as well as the experimental moniker “X-303” emblazed on the side.

Master Replicas advises us that the model will be available for sale November 10 in February (a delay from the previously announced November window). Pricing has not been announced yet, but previous Stargate ships have averaged somewhere around $60 U.S.

This is the fifth ship in the Hero Collector line, which began under Eaglemoss in 2021 with Prometheus‘s on-screen successor, the Daedalus. It’s also the last of Eaglemoss’s unreleased ships; future releases will come under Master Replicas’ own branding.

The Goa’uld Mothership and Death Glider models followed, but soon after Eaglemoss went into bankruptcy proceedings. Master Replicas stepped in and picked up the company’s remaining stock, selling the models in weekly drops on its Web site starting in 2023.

Earlier this year the company signed its own license with MGM, allowing them to restart manufacturing and to continue Eaglemoss’s plans for the Stargate line. That included the fourth ship, the F-302 — which Eaglemoss developed but never released — and now the Prometheus.

Other items, including figures and prop replicas, will start arriving in 2024. The company told GateWorld in August that the future development slate for ship models includes the Puddle Jumper, an Asgard mothership, Wraith Dart, Destiny, and Destiny shuttle. The company is also considering producing a model Stargate.
