Sergeant at Stargate Command assigned as a control room technician. Mackenzie sometimes worked the graveyard shift with MSgt. Walter Harriman. He and Harriman witnessed the Stargate vanish from the missile silo when the Trust used Asgard transporters to steal it.

Mackenzie feared that they would be held responsible for the gate's disappearance. But Daniel Jackson, who later interviewed them, was assured by their statements that there was nothing they could have done.
