Warning: This article includes spoilers for the Season Nine finale, “Camelot.”Viewers who saw the Stargate SG-1 season finale, which aired earlier this month in the U.S. and U.K., were blown away with the destruction of one of Earth’s Deep Space Carriers. Though it’s not clear just which vessel was hit by an Ori warship’s blast ray, rumors are rampant that it was the Korolev — Russia’s first exclusive interstellar craft.GateWorld caught up with Korolev commander Garry Chalk (“Chekov”) this afternoon, who was kind enough to let us in on his thoughts.”Chekov’s fate, at this point in time, is up in the air,” Chalk told GateWorld. “When you look at the season finale, and you see those massive explosions, we don’t know who died and who didn’t.”We also don’t know who the survivors are because there were survivors off the ships.” The Korolev, of course, had two members of the show’s mainstay cast on board — Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) and Cameron Mitchell (Ben Browder). Spoilers for Season Ten earlier obtained by GateWorld indicate that Chalk is probably right. The actor also hopes to use his proximity to the series regulars to support his bid for the Colonel’s survival. “One thing I can say: ‘Well, I can’t die … Shanks is right beside me!’ … Right?!”All new episodes of SG-1’s ground-breaking tenth year kick off this summer in the United States on The SCI FI Channel!
