Eureka topped the charts for the SCI FI Channel that week, with a 1.8. Ghost Hunters International earned a 1.6, and ECW wrestling a 1.5.
After taking the week off for Labor Day weekend, Atlantis turned in a 1.1 rating with “Whispers.” The spooky horror episode guest starred Paul McGillion as Dr. Carson Beckett.
Ghost Hunters turned in a 1.9 rating the week of September 1, followed by ECW with a 1.4. No new episode of Eureka aired.
A big chunk of Stargate Atlantis‘s viewing audience is not counted in these “Live + Same Day” ratings numbers from Nielsen Media Research, because they record the show with TiVo or another DVR service and watch it later in the week. SCI FI usually does not release the “Live + 7 Day” numbers.
According to executive producer Joseph Mallozzi, early numbers show that “The Queen” earned a 1.26 rating on September 12. SCI FI is expected to report this rounded off to a 1.3 next week.
Don’t miss the long-awaited episode “First Contact” this Friday night, kicking off the big mid-season two-parter and guest starring Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson. Atlantis airs at 10 p.m. (9 Central) on SCI FI, Mondays at 8 p.m. on The Movie Network in Canada, and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Sky One in the United Kingdom.
