  • The series is certainly building momentum. I'm looking forward to these final Season 1 episodes.

  • Dratted long weekend! It's going to make me insane to not watch it; I've been watcing the trailer with a lot of interest.

  • Okay, I really dont get the preview. It sounds like Rush is talking about Stone use, but for him to have had that perspective, he would have had to have been controlling Talford.

I also dont get why Talford would give the alliance info. Its not like they could give him something in exchange for his services that wouldnt raise redflags on earth.

  • i am really looking forward to these last episodes. The show is clearly building momentum i will just be totally bummed when it is over.
I am really curious to see if talford is really a lucian alliance agent. It totally makes sense in the scope of the series but it almost seems too obvious. hopefully we will gain some insight to the lucian alliance's presence and interest into Icarus and destiny. Based on what i have read about season 2, it seems like the Lucian alliance will play a big role in the series. ie Robbert knepper

  • This is my first time posting on gateworld.net. I have been a faithful fan of this site since it first started way back in the day. It's nice to finally be able to post without someone else being a total hater. I was skeptical of SGU when it first came out, and I hate to admit it, I didn't see an episode until I bought the first half of the season... Now I am hooked. It is a fresh take on Stargate, but it hasn't gone to far off center. Stargate for me, has always been about the characters, the people, and the fact that it shows that we do make mistakes as human beings. The writers and producers have always shown through the years that they are not afraid to end an episode on a bad note. Where we, as the viewers are left thinking... "huh", and to quote Dr. Jackson in the episode "The Quest"..."Okay, so that happened." This show is no different. Both of the leaders are flawed, and they have to work together. Classic. I am very much looking forward to this episode tonight and for the season finale. I don't know if I can wait for season 2 to start!

  • I really have to applaud this episode that I really don’t know where to begin. I love the fact that they actually talked about the power vacuum left behind by the ghoul’d and that Talford feels that it was wrong of humanity to just leave it at that. I was disappointed that Jackson only had a few minutes on the screen but O’Neill made up for it.

I wonder why the alliance wants Destiny. Do they hope to use it as a means of starting over in another galaxy? Surely they aren’t kidding themselves into believing they can profit from it in some way given all they know about the circumstances in getting there, not to mention by ancient tech standards, its all old tech. I wonder if they will touch on why Rush was able to withstand that punishment, if he’s tougher than he looks or if he has something hidden up his sleeve. I didn’t mind the “baby shower” scene, I guess it was inevitable but it was done in such a way that they were able to do it and move on.

After this episode, I imagine that some sort of “handshake” will be required for stone use to prevent impersonation, at least that would be what I would want if in that situation.

My only detraction from this would be that Anderson really seems to have put on the weight since departing SG1. In the SGU series premier I thought it was just the way the light and shadow was playing on his face but being on an indoor setting really shows his weight gain.

  • This episode took me by surprise. I actually didn't expect it to take the path it did. I'm impressed that it did. And, because of that, the ending - which was left open, is really left open. Again, as with almost all the episodes of the second half of Season 1 for sGU, another really excellent episode. Initially, I even had a down thought that the conflict between Telford and Young was going to be there one more time, but that wasn't it at all. Cool. Good one.

  • Anyone notice this the first episode the goa'uld were refered to by name. Great episode. Pissed I have to wait two weeks for the next one.
