Stargate SG-1‘s Christopher Judge is headlining the new creature feature from over-the-top, B movie all-stars, The Asylum. Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark is on DVD on January 28, 2014.
Watch the shark-tacular trailer below. No word yet on a TV airing.
Judge — SG-1‘s Jaffa warrior Teal’c — stars as “Jack” in the movie, alongside returning Mega Shark actress Debbie Gibson. It looks to be the third outing for the gigantic sea monster, following Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (2010), and Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus
(2012).
The Asylum is also behind the 2013 Syfy Channel hit Sharknado and its upcoming sequel, Sharknado 2: The Second One.
In the new movie, the U.S. government fights a new mega-shark terror by constructing a giant mechanical shark. Yep.
Judge previously starred in Asylum’s direct-to-DVD Clash of the Empires, which was retitled after Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, and MGM sued the studio over its use of the title Age of the Hobbits (story).
A friend of mine showed me the trailer last night, I really felt sorry for Chris.
Sad to see this actor reduced to such mediocrity
oh my god…
Craptastic!
So sad how such a great actor is reduced to such mediocrity
why the hell is he doing this? really i believe he could get much better role like shanks got in saving hope and small role in oblivion:)
Egads! I hope he never has to appear in the next Syfy original movie “Shartnado”
As he stated at last year’s Stargate convention in Chicago, everybody’s got to make a living and support your children. I respect him for that. And hey, you watched it.
