There’s a brand new Stargate on the block, and it’s ready to hang on your wall and fancy up the place.
Hollywood Collectibles Group has announced that it is releasing a new Stargate wall mirror, officially licensed by MGM. The gate is hand-cast from heavy-weight polystone, hand-painted, and individually numbered. It’s meant to hang on the wall and impress your friends, so of course it also comes equipped with a wall hanger on the back.
Alas, there’s no sign that the inner track spins … or that the mirror is capable of opening an artificial wormhole to another planet.
The gate measures approximately 20 inches in diameter, and is going for the asking price of $299.95 (U.S.). It’s now up for pre-order at Entertainment Earth.
(This actually isn’t the first time an official Stargate mirror has been released. Quantum Mechanix put out a $60 version back in 2008.)
The manufacturer says that only 1,250 pieces will be made. Entertainment Earth lists it as a January 2024 release.
It’s one of two new Stargate items from Hollywood Collectibles. The company is also taking orders for a very impressive 24-inch Anubis statue. That one will set you back $799.95 (U.S.) and is also available to pre-order now.
“From the creative masterminds at Hollywood Collectibles Group comes this amazing Stargate Anubis 1:4 Scale Statue. Add this mighty guard of Apophis to your collection and let every glance at it teleport you to the world of Stargate! Anubis stands in a fight pose, staff weapon in hand, astride a highly detailed base complete with Stargate! Standing a very impressive 24-inches tall, this intricately detailed statue meticulously captures every detail of his ornate armor and clothing.”
The Anubis statue is limited to 500 individually numbered pieces worldwide. Hollywood Collectibles is also selling their own exclusive version on the company’s Web site — another 150 pieces that come with a Stargate-themed name plate.
It will fit nicely on your display shelf next to the company’s new Robocop statue, also under license from MGM, standing at 21 inches tall.
The Anbuis statue is due in April 2024. Check out Entertainment Earth to reserve yours.

Ok so for the gate they’re using… a new model? It’s not the gate from the movie (in which the symbols are flat) and it’s not the gate from SG-1 either (in SG-1 the symbols are raised but not that much). It looks like they took an image of the SG1 gate and exaggerated it. But the worst part is that for $300 I expect the chevrons to be a different material (glass? orange plastic?) or even just painted a shiny orange. This grey thing just looks bleh. I’m happy with my QmX mirror that is maybe only half the… Read more »
