The next Stargate ship replica is almost ready to roll off the assembly line, as Quantum Mechanix preps for the debut of the Goa’uld Death Glider later this fall!
Following the hit F-302 replica, the Death Glider is hand-painted and has an 8-inch wingspan. The replica was created in detail from Stargate SG-1‘s original CG models. It’s limited to 1,500 pieces, individually numbered, and will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
The diorama base features an alien landscape with a Stargate and D.H.D.

The glider comes with a sticker price of $83.99 (U.S.). Not too much to ask for the power to terrorize tiny villages.
The Death Glider made its first appearance in the Stargate feature film in 1994, and of course was heavily featured in the 10-year run of Stargate SG-1. The fighter most recently appeared in the premiere of Stargate Universe.
It should be available by the end of the year, and you can pre-order it now at Entertainment Earth and support GateWorld with your purchase! (EE estimates a December release for the replica, though this is subject to change.) We’ve just become an EE affiliate, so you can support this site when you shop for Stargate action figures, coasters, the Teal’c maquette statue and other collectibles, from the Stargate franchise and the world of sci-fi, fantasy, film and comics.
Next up from QMx in the spring of 2010 (tentatively planned) is the Puddle Jumper from Stargate Atlantis. Keep up with the latest in the Ask Quantum Mechanix discussion thread right here at GateWorld!
Why is it a limited edition? Would be better in mass production like the F302.
