Episode of the Week: ‘Endgame’

The Stargate is stolen, leading SG-1 to discover that the Trust has taken control of an advanced ship in orbit. Teal’c investigates a series of wide-spread Jaffa deaths.

“Endgame” Facts:

• Before he became the Free Jaffa warrior M’zel, actor Mark Gibbon played the Norse hologram of Thor — back before we knew what the little grey guy really looked like.
• Recognize actor Peter Bryant? He plays lead Trust bad guy Hoskins in this episode — but back in Season Two he was the Jaffa Fro’tak, who had married Teal’c’s wife following his desertion (“Family”).
• This is the second time that the Stargate itself has been lifted out of the S.G.C. using Asgard transport technology. The first, of course, was done by SG-1 themselves to escape a crashing Asgard mothership in orbit (“Nemesis”).
• The cloaked ship used by the Trust was left behind by Osiris, who parked it in orbit before she was captured by Stargate Command and forcibly de-Goa’ulded (“Chimera”).
• It’s not the end of the line for the Trust — not by any means. That ship that escaped into deep space at the episode’s end was evidently captured by the Goa’uld, who sent it back to Earth and managed to infiltrate the Trust itself (“Full Alert”).
