UPDATE #2: The F-302 sold out on all 1,500 units in a little over 2 hours (with nearly 1,000 units going in the first 10 minutes). Master Replicas says that they throttled the order limit from 2 to 1 unit per order after 5 minutes.
UPDATE 7/28/2023: The models are now on sale (while supplies last), with a price tag of $72.99 / £54.99 each. Shipping starts the week of August 7. Good luck, everyone!
Stargate’s F-302 Fighter Interceptor is finally going up for sale this Friday, and we now have the first clear look at the model itself.
The model was originally designed by Eaglemoss for its “Hero Collector” line, but cancelled when the company went bankrupt last year. Master Replicas then stepped in and acquired all of Eaglemoss’s remaining stock, and has been selling them in weekly drops at MasterReplicas.com.
The hotly anticipated model is for a fan-favorite. The F-302 was to be the fourth ship in the Stargate line, following the Daedalus (BC-304), Ha’tak-class Goa’uld mothership, and the Death Glider.
The F-302 was first introduced in the sixth season premiere of Stargate SG-1, as the “X-302” experimental fighter. The craft is built by Earth engineers utilizing alien technologies acquired through the Stargate program. It was used to help save Earth from an attack by Anubis, and subsequently became a staple of Earth’s defense forces.
The 302 was featured throughout the remainder of SG-1‘s run, as well as on Stargate Atlantis and in the premiere episode of Stargate Universe.
Master Replicas’ screen-accurate model will be similar in size to the previously released Death Glider model, which had a 7.8-inch (20-centimeter) wingspan. Like the others we expect it is made of die-cast metal and ABS plastic. It features the ship’s familiar three-engine design (two standard thrusters flanking a larger booster rocket in the center), as well as four air-to-air missiles on the ventral side.
HOW TO BUY
Stargate fans who are interested in adding the F-302 to their collection will have a narrow window to pick one up before the ship is sold out. The drop goes live at MasterReplicas.com promptly at 1pm Pacific time, 4pm Eastern (9pm BST, 6am Saturday in Sydney).
The ship’s price will be listed on Friday, and we expect it to be relatively close to what previous Stargate models have sold for — around $60 USD. Note the company’s warning that adding an item to your cart does not reserve it! You must complete the checkout process to be guaranteed that you’ll get the item.
Master Replicas has stated that it has 1,500 units for the F-302, and customers will be limited to two per order. That should be enough to avoid the model selling out in minutes, and enable customers who are on the ball when the sale page goes live to get one.
“This is probably the most limited in quantity of the series produced,” a company rep said on Twitter. “Looks like all previous ships had a production quantity of 3,000. So this should be in demand.”
The company also has been actively working against scalpers trying to acquire rare items in bulk for resale, monitoring and canceling suspicious orders and multiple orders going to the same address.
MORE TO COME?
The F-302 might not be the end of the line for Stargate models. There is still hope for the rumored fifth ship in the line: Master Replicas has suggested to some fans on social media that the Prometheus model does exist, and will be sold in November. GateWorld has reached out to the company for further info.
Former “Hero Collector” director Ben Robinson told GateWorld that Eaglemoss was planning an initial lineup of ten models, which were all at various stages of planning or manufacture. The company’s future plans included the Asgard warship, Puddle Jumper, Wraith Dart, Destiny, and others.
He suggested that an unnamed company is looking to negotiate new licenses with rights holders like MGM, and pick up where Eaglemoss left off. (We’re guessing that is Master Replicas themselves, though the company has been understandably shy about commenting.) Were that to happen, the new manufacturer could not only make additional models but also put the previous releases back into production — helping to curb those scalper prices.
Keep it locked on GateWorld for the latest developments.
I tried to get the Goa’uld mothership from the site. It sold out within about 30 seconds. I had it in my cart and didn’t even get time to complete the checkout. I had to buy one on eBAy for 235 AUD.
I can’t find the last offer with model 302 that was supposed to be released today on their e-shop.
I can’t get in. Password protected and no way to get one.
1pm Pacific — the doors are shut for another 20 minutes.
When the drop happens, it happens at a set time (4am for me), so you need to go in a minute before the drop time and keep refreshing the page until it updates and get in.
Managed to grab one, yay!
Congrats, Dharman! I got mine too.
Congrats to you as well, Darren! I’ve heard they’ll drop a limited stock of Daedalus at some point this year
I reeeally hope that’s the case, Marton! It’s the only ship in the series I don’t have. (I sat on my hands and never bought the original release because Eaglemoss said they were sending me a review unit. Won’t make that mistake again!)
Master Replicas has the strange habit of closing down the site when they are updating the new drops. I just reserved one. Check back on the site as soon as possible.
Purchased and order confirmed! I’ll park the F-302 facing the Death Glider. Shelves need to get rearranged though:

Awesome. :) I’ll be up to four Trek ships once this order arrives, so I am starting to wish I had that DS9.
I got lucky with that XL DS9 a few months back. MR just mentioned another batch today for next week’s flashdrop, so perfect timing. Which four do you mean?
I’m going for the classic Enterprise line-up on my shelf: 1701 (Refit), B (actually Excelsior), C, and D.
Those ships oughta look cool! My wife made me promise not to collect any Enterprises, she says there’s just too many variants.xd
I got my DS9 from a Cash Converters near me. No stand, box or magazine though.
How’d you get the stargate magazine? I didn’t get any with either of the first 3 ships
Back in March Ben said that MR found no Daedalus, so I bought one from a Ferengi scalper via ebay. Magazine was included.
Is it nice? Didin’t get it with my Daedalus. When I asked the store I bought it from, they said it didn’t come with one. Since Eaglemoss is gone, is it legal to share scans?
I guess there’s no harm in sharing SG stuff!
Thanks for sharing! It’s just the one-page ad and not a full magazine, right?
Yes, it’s a one-page sorry for the confusion.
Thanks man!
I was super stressed that it would sold out fast and got mine 2 minutes in; but it still available it seems. Since I got all the other 3 I really didn’t want to miss it. Now let’s see for that BC-303
Hopefully the rumors are true! I’d love to see that the Prometheus actually exists.
I had to wake up and get mine at 4am. Have the other 3 already. Had to pay 235 aud on eBay for the Ha’tak.
Damn, you got street cred with Master Replica for sure lol, I can never get any of that kind of i fo like you have in your updates when I email them :p I’m sure they’ll get you your 304 ;)
Someone on Reddit posted that Master Replicas is planning to do another sale of ships from cancelled orders, FYI in case someone wanted one and couldn’t get it. You can sign up to be notified on the product page.
By the way, it looks like as of this morning, Stargate has been removed completely from Pluto TV on demand.
Never mind, back now. Probably just licensing renewal going through.
Thanks for mentioning me, Darren! I managed to get my own copy too so I will have 4 out 4 so far.
MR’s site stated it will be sent after 7/8/23, but then I received an email yesterday that it is on the way already. Royalmail’s website said the order was started to be shipped on 2/8/23 so maybe I will receive it tomorrow or Saturday.
