“To Boldly Go …”

• Main cast members from four out of the five Star Trek TV series guest starred on Stargate. Only actors from the Original Series cast didn’t make an appearance.
• This month we’re celebrating Trek on Stargate to mark the theatrical release of Star Trek Beyond, opening July 22! Which were your favorite Trek actor guest spots?

“The Other Guys” Facts:

• Actor John Billingsley (“Dr. Phlox” on Enterprise) guest stars as Simon Coombs, a random background player who is thrust into an adventure to rescue SG-1. He’s one of several Enterprise cast members to appear on the Stargate franchise, along with Jolene Blalock (“Ishta”) and Connor Trinneer (“Michael”).
• Joining Dr. Coombs is actor Patrick McKenna as Jay Felger. McKenna had already made a name for himself as a comedic actor in Canada, having starred for 15 years on The Red Green Show.
• Michael Adamthwaite is introduced in this episode as a relatively minor Jaffa commander, Her’ak. But the character was a hit and would return (with a promotion in Anubis’ ranks) in Season Seven: the 2-part premiere and the epic 2-hour finale, “The Lost City.”
• The episode ends with Felger’s daydream — a ceremony at Stargate Command in which he is honored … and gets a big smooch from Samantha Carter. Only after the fact did the producers realize that it left some fans wondering if the entire episode had been the daydream. (It wasn’t.)
