An illegal and off-the-books arm of the N.I.D., which was willing to use any and all means to serve what its leaders believe is in the bests interests of Earth -- and, coincidentally, their own pocketbooks. The group was a cancer within the United States intelligence community until it was broken up by Stargate Command and above-board N.I.D. agents such as Malcolm Barrett. Its shadowy leadership then morphed into The Committee, and eventually The Trust.
