Stargate Atlantis veterans Paul McGillion and Ryan Robbins were among those who took home trophies from last night’s annual Leo Awards gala in Vancouver, British Columbia. The awards recognize the best in TV and film produced in B.C.
McGillion (Stargate‘s “Carson Beckett”) won Best Performance by a Male in a Short Drama for A Fine Young Man.
Robbins (“Ladon Radim”) took home the award for Best Supporting Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series, for the Sanctuary episode “Animus.” He also presented at the ceremony alongside former Stargate leading lady Amanda Tapping (“Samantha Carter”).
Other Stargate vets on the awards list include:
In all, Sanctuary took home three trophies this year. The show, which stars and is executive produced by Amanda Tapping, received 17 nominations (story).
Stargate Universe was nominated for just one award this year, for Jennifer Spence’s (“Lisa Park”) supporting role in the episode “Malice.”
This year’s Best Dramatic Series award went to Smallville, which recently concluded its tenth and final season of production in Vancouver.

FANTASTIC Guys! Well done..
Well done, beckett!!
Rush should have won an award though, his acting has been supreme.
@LoneMerc2 I do believe that these awards are for those who reside in the province of BC - I think (though I may be wrong) that they have to be Canadian as well
