SG-1: Season Seven
First Aired: June 13, 2003
First Aired: June 13, 2003
SG-1 discovers Daniel Jackson alive and living on an alien world, with no memory of who he is. But with a rare opportunity at hand, the team hatches a plan to lure Anubis into a trap and destroy his new super-weapon.
“Fallen” Facts:
- The Season Seven premiere brought the return of original Stargate SG-1 cast member Michael Shanks, who had left the series for a year to pursue other opportunities. Executive producer Robert C. Cooper reportedly helped bring Michael back into the fold with an amicable agreement — which, in turn, led Cooper to write the episode that reincarnated Dr. Jackson from his state as an ascended being.
- The tribal leader Shamda is played by actor George Touliatos. It’s his second Stargate appearance: he originally played >Pyrus, the alien leader who subjected Daniel to the Goa’uld sarcophagus, in Season Two’s “Need.”
- “Fallen” also introduced a new recurring character. It’s the first appearance of Kevan Ohtsji as Oshu, Yu’s First Prime. He would appear in a total of five episodes, ending with the epic “Reckoning, Part 1.”
- Daniel returns without his memories, at first, addressing his long-time friend Jack as “Jim.” The joke would take on a creepy resonance when Anubis’ pseudo-ascended form turned out also to have that name (played by George Dzundza in Season Eight’s “Threads”). Had Daniel had direct interaction with this “Jim” during his year as an ascended being?
