  • This simplified adaptation of the Stargate movie novelization was first published in Great Britain by Puffin Books in 1995, and then by Penguin Books in 1996, and republished in 1998. A new edition was released in 1999, and re-released 2006.
  • As with the adult novelization, Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich are credited as the book's authors. The screenplay and novelization was adapted for the Penguin Readers series by Sheila Black.
