  • I enjoyed this episode save for one thing: skipping over entering the galaxy. This would have been a perfect episode for going through the void. More than anything though, I don't like the idea of them going to a planet off screen. It makes the audience feel left out, especially on a show with such strong continuity. That makes it feel like some of the problems I had with Atlantis.

Oh, and that isn't a deus ex machina. It would be a deus ex machina if they pulled it out of nowhere or without adequate explanation. They've only used it twice since 'Time', counting 'Pain'. Plus using venom as an anesthetic is a real world technology, even if it's still experimental.

The Kino is probably just in patrol mode, and eventually it catches a key scene.

  • i also enjoyed this episode. it was better than i was expecting it to be. I was expecting a "filler" episode to get the story setup for the finale but i found the episode intriguing. but i agree that the void should have been used. They could have easily made crossing the void work with that episode or used it for several. I felt like the void crossing was overlooked. i mean isn't that kind of a big deal, crossing the gap between 2 galaxies? I guess my concern about this new galaxy is really the blue aliens. We know they are "obsessed" with destiny but do they have the capability or desire to cross galaxies? Are they even native to the galaxy destiny just left? the wraith seemed like they were more advanced then the blue guys and they did not have intergalactic hyper drive capabilities. I just hope they were not left behind because i would really like to see more of these guys. We know basically nothing about them and i feel like they could be a good antagonist. They have more of a scary vibe then the snake heads, ori and even the wraith in some respects. I have enjoyed SGU a great deal and will continue to watch as long as it is on the air, but writers if you are reading this, MORE BLUE ALIENS!
