The Destiny crew heads to an alien desert in “Air, Part 3,” last week’s new episode of Stargate Universe and the wrap-up of the series premiere. That’s our topic of discussion in this week’s podcast, as GateWorld’s editors consider what is going on with Lt. Scott in this episode, the alien lifeform, Rush’s fight with Sgt. Greer, and much more. Find out why we think it’s the best of the three hours we’ve seen so far. And we’ll also hear lots of comments on “Air” from podcast listeners!
In our new Quibbles segment, Darren and David wonder what happened to Curtis and Palmer, the Destiny‘s fuel source, and more.

Great Podcast guys. I agree about the communication stones I like how there done where they can swap bodies but they can’t really get any true help like supplies. It will indeed be interesting to see in future episodes. I also love having questions at the end of an episode, that’s one of the main reasons why I like Lost so much where your always wondering and in a seance you create your own answers and not everything is explained for you. I like your theory about LT Scott maybe having sexual addictions. Some people said that the sex seance… Read more »
Meant to put the word “scene” instead of “seance” twice there.
Atlantis was such a sh*t*y show!
McKay could resolve all problems in 5 minutes.
Team always get cought by wraith even with Ronon who always mennage to blast 50 enemies with his guns.
So repeteve, so lame…
Liked your new Quibbles section.
PS – when are you going to put up the Joe Flanigan interview you mentioned a few podcasts ago? Just curious. Thanks.
I had one quarrel with this podcast, which was that you guys bought into the “unlike anything we have ever seen before” claim regarding the sandswirl thing. This is a non-physical lifeform that communicates through telepathic visions and has vague unexplained abilities to manipulate matter and energy. Granted, it’s not a humanoid, but it is still a very over-used idea.
Sylvia, our new interview with Joe Flanigan should be online tomorrow (Friday)! Thanks for your patience. :)
@far_wanderer: My intent with that comment was that it’s an alien being unlike any we’ve seen on Stargate. Offhand I can’t think of anything like the dust devil lifeform.
@Darren Thanks! Can’t wait!
Update: Joe Flanigan will be posted on Saturday.
I never posted anything on this site before just read stuff about stargate. I do not care for most of stargate universe so far, It just seems like a rip off of the 2000 era battlestar glactica, and what ever other show is using that style now. (Lost? I have no idea I don’t watch lost.) Though I was born in the 1980’s and did not watch the original battlestar from the 1970’s until they went up for download on xbox live video service. I am sure a lot did not care for the 2000’s battlestat glatica big change. But… Read more »
Also in a side note I do not really care what kids are exposed to that is not my job I am not a parent. But seriously I know some parents who watch or will leave the room and let them watch stargate alone, since the voliance is not that bad in SG-1 or Atlantis and nether was its sexual content, that has now changed. Now I wonder how many parents let there children sit down and watch the new stargate universe and let them be smacked by 2 getting it on in a closet. It is almost as bad… Read more »
