  • Great Podcast guys.

I agree about the communication stones I like how there done where they can swap bodies but they can't really get any true help like supplies. It will indeed be interesting to see in future episodes.

I also love having questions at the end of an episode, that's one of the main reasons why I like Lost so much where your always wondering and in a seance you create your own answers and not everything is explained for you.

I like your theory about LT Scott maybe having sexual addictions. Some people said that the sex seance was unnecessary but it may make seance later on. Sky 1 in the UK edited out the sex seance which may cause confusion for UK viewers later on.

The alien ship at the end is a perfect example from what I said earlier on: your left with questions. Same with Curtis & Palmer.

And oh yeh: "Spinning is so much cooler than not spinning". Made me laugh when you guys said that, didn't think of that reference from "200" where Hammond wanted the gate to spin, now it spins lol.

  • Atlantis was such a sh*t*y show!

McKay could resolve all problems in 5 minutes.
Team always get cought by wraith even with Ronon who always mennage to blast 50 enemies with his guns.

    So repeteve, so lame...

  • PS - when are you going to put up the Joe Flanigan interview you mentioned a few podcasts ago? Just curious. Thanks.

  • I had one quarrel with this podcast, which was that you guys bought into the "unlike anything we have ever seen before" claim regarding the sandswirl thing. This is a non-physical lifeform that communicates through telepathic visions and has vague unexplained abilities to manipulate matter and energy. Granted, it's not a humanoid, but it is still a very over-used idea.

  • Sylvia, our new interview with Joe Flanigan should be online tomorrow (Friday)! Thanks for your patience. :)

@far_wanderer: My intent with that comment was that it's an alien being unlike any we've seen on Stargate. Offhand I can't think of anything like the dust devil lifeform.

  • I never posted anything on this site before just read stuff about stargate.

I do not care for most of stargate universe so far, It just seems like a rip off of the 2000 era battlestar glactica, and what ever other show is using that style now. (Lost? I have no idea I don’t watch lost.)

Though I was born in the 1980’s and did not watch the original battlestar from the 1970’s until they went up for download on xbox live video service. I am sure a lot did not care for the 2000’s battlestat glatica big change.

But between the 1970’s and 2000’s battlestar series there is 20+ years in between for such drastic change to go on and when it was changed we had never seen the style of the recent battlestat series done before in sci-fi really so it got the pass for being new and fresh.

Now With stargate universe the last series atlantis was last year, was still somewhat fine the way it was. a few changes was need yes but they did not have to blatantly mimic battlestar much, most of the time I thought I was watching battlestar’s galactica’s new spin off series not stargate, if 2 sg-1 characters and the stargate did not appear I would have not known .

If that is what they was going to give us I don’t see why they sci-fi channel did not just pay somebody vomit up a new battlestar glactica spin off and be done with it.

Seriously everything from the camera angles to the hand held shaky cam like footage, the look of the new ship, just scrams look I am trying to be as extreme and dramatic new as Battlestar was!!!. It just comes of pretty lame.

And the whole battlestar sex scence thing that stargate is trying to do now….

I don’t care if it is there, I watched battlestar It has tons of pointless sex scene with shaky cam footage,( and I can only count like 3 times it mattered to the story. Stargate just seems to be throwing it in there to show it’s “EXTREMEness” and do more of the look we are like battlestars now” thing. IT was lame and an embarrassment to the stargate name.

it was pointless lame sex shot there is plenty of other ways to imply those 2 characters are getting it on, I don’t need to see it If I wanted to see that every Friday I would go watch porn or battlestar reruns at least it made sense to the story when they put it in.

I predecit in like few years the sex scenes will be looked on as big of mistake as “children of the gods” and it’s full frontal nudity and they will say they wish they never put it in. Hell I think they will even make the mistake and put it in some more and then the can say it was in every episode it is in and say they wish they never put it in the whole season.

So yes in my view you did an OK job on copying battlestar galactica stargate universe when are you going to give us that New changed series you said you was doing? I only see stargate with battlestar galactica paint on it and I don’t really care that much seen it before.
