GateWorld Podcast: SGU’s ‘Aftermath’

Visit the GateWorld Podcast page for more about the show!

Stargate Universe continues its second season with a gut-wrenching episode that is sure to break a few hearts, as we say goodbye to one of the show’s supporting cast members. In this week’s podcast GateWorld’s Darren and David talk about how that astonishing scene impacted them. We’ll also discuss Rush’s huge discovery on the ship, his hallucinations (or are they?!), the implications of gaining control over Destiny, plus that pesky problem of what to do with the Lucian Alliance survivors.

And we’ll hear what podcast listeners thought about “Aftermath,” too! Call into the podcast hotline this week to share your thoughts on the newest episode of SGU.

Before we launch into the main discussion, David will also give us his report from Seattle on the recent Propworx auction — which included the sale of one of SG-1‘s two Stargates. Find out more about upcoming auctions at StargateArtifacts.com.

  • In regards to the kino video diaries, you could go on youtube and find literally hundreds of people who make video diaries expressing their feelings about their depression, concerns, etc. Vlogs (video logs/diaries) are something that are becoming more common place nowadays. It makes sense to me that Destiny's crew would use the kinos to talk about things that they can't say to other members of the crew. I'm sure they are aware that Eli has access to the kino diaries, but they probably trust him not to watch them (that fact that he was watching Riley's is due to missing one of his closer friends).

  • as far as Rush and if he had been on the bridge before. I took it that the "computer problem" he solved for Park was his worm that retrieved the code. Not sure why I thought that as I haven't re watched yet.

  • I completly agree with Craig, people poor their lives out on the internet everyday. And it is getting more and more common. I think as generations grow up they are more comfortable with having intimate knowledge about themselves out there on the internet for anyone to see. The Kino videos are actually more secure than the internet.
