PRODUCTION NOTES

  • "We also have an idea for the end of Atlantis [Season One]. Right now, for the whole season, we're cut off. But we're going to make it home at least once at the end of the season, or connect with people from Earth at least once, to touch base, to provide the opportunity for the Stargate universe to occasionally cross over. After this season it will become much more possible for any one of the SG team members to appear." (Executive producer Brad Wright, in an interview with the Richard Dean Anderson Web Site)
  • "There was a scene in 'The Siege, Part 2' where Sora was sent back to the Genii in exchange for their nukes, but it had to be cut for time." (Writer Martin Gero, in a message at GateWorld Forum)
  • "Ben [Browder] would have made the perfect John Sheppard as originally envisioned in the Atlantis pilot – a Southern cowboy with swagger. The fact that he was shooting the Farscape miniseries took him out of the running. As for the part I'd written for Ben [later in the series] – that of Colonel Dillon Everett in 'Siege' I, II and III. Needless to say the character's arc would have been significantly different had Ben been available to take the role." (Writer / producer Joseph Mallozzi, in a post at his blog)
