GateWorld Podcast: ‘Incursion, Part 1’

Visit the GateWorld Podcast page for more about the show!

The first season of Stargate Universe is drawing to an end, with the first half of the season finale on deck for the GateWorld Podcast! This week Darren and David will talk about “Incursion, Part 1,” from brainwashing and Colonel Telford’s about-face, to the Lucian Alliance attempt to take the ship, to Colonel Young’s decision not to vent the air out of the Gate Room.

We’ll also discuss parallels with the season premiere, which character(s) we think may not survive the end of the season, and much more. And we’ll hear what listeners thought of the episode! And following up on last week’s Open Line Night, this week’s Listener Mail segment is extra large.

Join the discussion! We want to hear what you think of this week’s Stargate Universe season finale! Call the podcast hotline by Monday with your views.

  • You should set up a poll to narrow down Doctor Who episode suggestions for David.

In lieu of that, here are my three suggestions...

    The Girl In The Fireplace
    Love And Monsters
    Blink

  • The Lucian Alliance has almost always used projectile weapons. Go back and watch the old episodes again, that's what they've used. By the way, it is possible to make more bullets if you're resourceful enough.

  • i think in avalon part 2 vala's body died while she was burned alive in the worshiper's body when they first used the stones

  • I think FTL drives are slower in a galaxy because there's more gravity wells in the form of stars. Destiny had to slow down and change it's course due to the uncharted star. It could be that Destiny's FTL can be significantly faster because it doesn't have to deal with that in the void, and it doesn't have to start and stop, and start and stop all the time. This means that it should be able to accumulate speed in frictionless space.
