GateWorld Podcast: SG-1 Season Five

Visit the GateWorld Podcast page for more about the show!

The fifth season of Stargate SG-1 was nothing short of epic, with events ranging from the downfall of Apophis and the rise of Anubis to the death of Daniel Jackson himself. The season has some of our favorite episodes of the series — plus the show’s landmark one-hundredth episode. It was also the series’ final year on Showtime. In this week’s podcast, GateWorld’s Darren and David run through the highs and lows of Season Five and what made it one of the strongest years in Stargate history.

But first we’ll recap the latest news from the Stargate universe, and give listeners a preview of GateWorld’s upcoming video interview with Wraith queen Andee Frizzell.

  • Darren and David,

Did you run out of tape? It seems like we are missing some of the conversation.

  • Should be fixed now -- sorry about the oversight. To prevent your browser from played the old version from your cache, you may need to Shift-Reload the pop-up window, or clear your cache and try it again.

  • Listener Question:
I love Rodney to death, but the writers became so fixated on him, his almost dying every few eps and his relationship with Keller that it became quite annoying towards the end of the series.
It was much better when they would do a team episode.
No one else on SGA was overused, most were underused, IMHO.
On SG1 there was more balance, in the last couple of seasons though I thought there was far too much of Vala, although I love Claudia Black.
